Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Latent Ape LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("Latent Ape", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use Supemma and the AI assistant "Emma" (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, and (if you link it) phone number, provided through our authentication provider when you sign up or link a channel.
- Content you provide — the messages you send Emma over SMS, email, and the web; what you ask her to do; files or details you share; and preferences and facts you ask her to remember.
- Usage and device data — how you interact with the Service, including timestamps, channels used, feature usage, diagnostic and log data, and approximate technical metadata. We use stable identifiers (trace and session ids) to operate and debug the Service.
- Connected-account data — when you connect a third-party account (such as Google), the data needed to perform the tasks you request (see Section 4).
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- provide, maintain, and secure the Service and respond to your requests;
- let Emma act on your behalf (send messages, draft documents, manage calendar events, search and browse) when you ask;
- personalize the Service — including remembering the preferences and facts you share so Emma improves over time for you;
- analyze usage and behavior to understand how the Service is used and to operate, troubleshoot, and improve and develop the Service and new features;
- communicate with you about the Service; and
- comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. AI processing
To answer your requests, your content is processed by Emma and by third-party AI providers we use to run the assistant. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to train third-party or foundation AI models. Our AI providers process content to return a response under their own terms and do not use it to train their models on our behalf. We may use de-identified or aggregated data — which does not identify you — for analytics and to improve the Service.
4. Google user data (Limited Use)
Supemma's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When you connect a Google account, you authorize Emma to access only the scopes you approve (for example, to create a Google Doc or Sheet, or to read and add Google Calendar events) in order to perform the tasks you request. Specifically, for data obtained through Google APIs:
- we use it only to provide and improve the user-facing features you ask for;
- we do not use it for advertising;
- we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the feature, comply with law, or as part of a merger you are notified of;
- we do not use it to train generalized or foundation AI models; and
- humans do not read it, except where you give consent for specific items, where necessary for security or to comply with law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
You can disconnect your Google account at any time in your settings or at your Google account permissions.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the Service, under contract and limited to what they need — for example: cloud infrastructure, the AI model gateway, SMS and email delivery, authentication, and web-browsing automation;
- Recipients you direct — when Emma sends a message or creates a document at your request;
- Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service; and
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice consistent with this Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Operational logs are retained on a rolling basis. You can request deletion of your account and associated content (see Section 8).
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, scoped credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- access, update, or delete the preferences and facts Emma remembers, in your settings;
- disconnect connected accounts and unlink your phone or email at any time;
- stop messages by replying STOP to SMS or contacting us;
- request a copy or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal limits.
Depending on where you live (for example, under U.S. state privacy laws), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected].
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Where data is processed
The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States and by our service providers. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed there.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
